Terms of Service

Draft, last updated 2026-07-22.

1. Acceptance

By using doineedvisa.to (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Site.

2. What the Site does

The Site publishes visa-requirement information for passport/destination country pairs, assembled from a community-maintained open dataset (see Section 5), for general informational purposes.

3. Not legal or immigration advice

The Site is not a substitute for official guidance. See the full disclaimer embedded on every content page. In short: requirements change, individual circumstances vary, and you must confirm your specific requirements with the destination country’s embassy, consulate, or an official government source before booking or traveling.

4. No warranty; limitation of liability

The Site and its data are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DoINeedVisa and its operator are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its information, including but not limited to denied entry, denied boarding, missed travel, or visa application costs.

5. Data source & attribution

Visa-requirement data is sourced from an open, MIT-licensed, community-maintained dataset (passport-index-data; full MIT license text). The upstream copyright notice travels with any substantial redistribution of the data, including via the public API. We also regularly check official government websites to verify and update this data; it is not purely a community-maintained feed. See Section 3.

6. Third-party / affiliate links

The Site may contain links to third-party services (e.g. e-visa application services, travel-document providers) through affiliate programs. DoINeedVisa may earn a commission if you use these links, at no extra cost to you. DoINeedVisa does not control and is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any linked third-party site.

7. No accounts (for now)

The consumer Site currently requires no account or login. If that changes (e.g. a paid feature), these Terms will be updated and you’ll be asked to accept the update where required.

8. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time; the “last updated” date above will change accordingly. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

9. Governing law

Draft placeholder - fill in your jurisdiction of residence/operation before launch. Common indie-project choice: your home state/country’s law, with disputes handled there.
